You fail, fail, and fail

Yet pretend to be happy and satisfied when actually you’re not.

Looking around the people and their success gives you gloom

But you don’t want to be the ‘jealous one’

Yet you don’t have any other option but just to look around you.

It gives you the sense of grief.

Aching heart,

Teary eyes,

Fake smile,

People perceive you in a way they want to think

They underestimate your feelings

Devalue your cries, call them fake.

Yet, you’re here in front of the society, joking and mocking at your failures,

Making you feel inferior,

Making you feel mundane and small,

Making you feel like you’re a burden,

Making you feel lonely,

Just because you fail…

  1. Failure is tough. We should not accept it but instead choose to push through it. Although the pain can often eat us up inside forget what people say and put away your pride. Keep trying and keep fighting. Failure can’t win if you allow perseverance to step in. Stay strong.

    1. Indeed.! I absolutely second you. But you know we’re humans, sometimes emotions get high. It become hard for us to pretend and fake a smile. Yet we wipe our tears and brace ourselves to face the world. It is what it is. We can’t help but to be strong. So the only option we have is to have faith and the ONLY ray of light is Almighty. Because He never do injustice.

  2. This really moved me thank you so much. It can be really hard these days as social media presents everyone showing the โ€œhighlight reelsโ€ of their lives and it can make one feel left behind, inadequate and lost. Thank you for this. Wanted to let you know your words resonate and you are beautiful no matter where you are in life. Thank you. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

    1. Aww.๐Ÿ˜š thank you so much. This comment made my day. I felt like emotionaly weak and down so wrote down this poem. I’m happy it resonates with you. Sometimes all you need is a good moral support or even a few convincing words which you want to believe in. And then it relaxes you for a bit and you’re able to gather the courage to stand up and face the world. I hope you gather that courage. Be strong. Stay happy.

    2. And as far the social media is concerned, it is really dragging people towards depression because only half of the percent of the people post pictures of them crying whereas 99% people share the “bests of the days” and you feel like, oh my God, am I the only unhappy person alive? Why is that I’m not getting the blessings he/she has? So these questions pop into our minds. Then the only possible way to keep us on track is moderation. Use social media when needed. Not very often. Just take it as an enjoyment not as a compulsion.

      1. This is all very true. And yet, more people don’t talk about it. But you hit the nail on the head. That’s why I’m trying to write about funny things that are also mild complaints on society because if we look at it through a comedic lense, sometimes it’s an easier pill to swallow. ๐Ÿ™‚ Keep up the lovely writing. All the best to you.
